Vosges
The Vosges department is located in eastern France, in the Grand Est region, on the slopes of the Vosges mountains, with its capital in Épinal. The department is known for its lush mountains, small alpine lakes and famous thermal spas (Vittel, Contrexéville). Its economy blends traditional textile industries, the mineral water industry and mountain-wellness tourism. Its year-round mountain scenery, low cost of living and rural tranquility are among the department's main features, making it well suited to cross-country skiing and outdoor recreation.
