Côtes-d'Armor

Côtes-d'Armor department is located in the north of the Brittany peninsula, on the English Channel coast, and its capital is the city of Saint-Brieuc. The department is known for its uniquely pink rocky coastline (Côte de Granit Rose) and traditional Breton fishing villages. Its economy combines agriculture (especially dairy farming and livestock), fishing, and coastal tourism. Breton culture, with its distinct language and traditions, remains alive in the department, and its mild oceanic climate, together with a relatively low cost of living, makes it well suited to a peaceful life by the sea.

At the same time, the natural surroundings of the city (the Bay of Saint-Brieuc and nearby coastal towns) are very popular and seem well suited to a calm family life.

In Saint-Brieuc, the TUB city bus network (there is no tram) handles public transport and also covers nearby small towns. For intercity travel, TER trains and some regional bus lines are available.
