Aveyron
The Aveyron department is located in south-central France, in the Occitanie region, in the heart of the mountainous plateaus of the Massif Central, and its center is the city of Rodez. It is one of the most rural and sparsely populated departments in France, and its economy relies heavily on livestock farming (particularly the production of the famous Roquefort cheese) and traditional agriculture. Aveyron's landscape includes the limestone plateaus of the Larzac, deep valleys, and medieval villages, making it attractive for nature tourism and cultural tourism. The cost of living is very low, but due to its mountainous location and low population, job opportunities are more limited than in urban areas.
