Aube

The Aube department is located in northeastern France, in the Grand Est region, and its center is Troyes, one of France's important medieval historic cities. The department is part of the Champagne region, and its vineyards (particularly in southern areas such as the Côte des Bar) contribute to champagne production. Aube's economy combines agriculture, traditional textile industries (Troyes is known for its factory-outlet clothing stores), and historical and natural tourism (the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park with its large artificial lakes). The cost of living is relatively low, and access to Paris by fast train takes less than an hour and a half.
